if someone got cold feet and didn't wife you and realized they made a mistake would u give them another chance to make it right

so far, i like to follow the rule "leave the past in the past". however, if the person was THAT IMPORTANT to me, and i WAS NOT INVOLVED in a relationship..........i may consider it.
